Car accident in California kills 1

Fatal accidents can be tragic enough for the family members of the deceased victims, but when the person at fault leaves the scene, it can be even more emotionally trying on the family. If the person at fault is not found, it can create large amounts of pain for those looking for justice for the fatalities, and may inhibit the family’s ability to heal. Unfortunately, one driver in California recently left the scene of a car accident.

The accident took place on the morning of July 12 at around 4 a.m. and involved one standard vehicle and a pedestrian. The initial investigation showed police that the victim was walking north on the southbound side of the road when the driver allegedly may have seen him, attempted to stop and then struck him. The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene of the accident.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident, but no other injuries were reported. California police stated that the damage to the vehicle was extensive. The accident is still under investigation, and police are still searching for the suspected driver.

Once the driver of the vehicle is found, the family of the deceased victim may have the right to seek monetary compensation for the loss of their loved one in the car accident. Compensation could be used by the family to pay for any end-of-life expenses that were incurred and could provide the family with a sense of justice. This could help the grieving family during the healing process.
