California pedestrian accident kills 1 man
Car accidents take place throughout the United States every day, but many of these accidents are not severe enough to injure the individuals involved. However, if a pedestrian is involved in an accident with a motor vehicle, the severity of the collision can increase drastically. The pedestrian can often be left with serious injuries that can even be fatal in certain circumstances. Unfortunately, one pedestrian accident in California recently killed one man.
The accident took place on the early morning of July 28 just after 12:30 a.m. and involved one pedestrian and a standard-sized vehicle. Initial investigations showed police that the driver was heading west down the road when he suddenly veered off the road. It was then that he struck the victim and immediately drove all the way home.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. The driver was contacted by police following the accident after a bystander saw his vehicle. The driver told California police that he knew he had struck something, but he was unaware that it was a person. The accident is still under investigation at this time.
Depending on the outcome of the investigation into this pedestrian accident, the family of the deceased victim may have the right to monetary compensation. This could be used to pay for any of the final expenses of the victim and relieve some of the stress that expenses following such a devastation can create. Compensation could also provide the family of the deceased victim with a sense of justice, especially if the driver of the vehicle is not charged.
